Recipe: Friendly Mojito

This time recipe drink was inspired by one of the beverage sellers when I attended the chocolate festival in Malang. Well, technically it wasn't inspired. It was the drink itself! It's super easy even I can make it with my eyes closed. Why friendly? That because as an Asian living in Indonesia and being a Moslem, we are forbidden to drink anything related to alcohol and since the real Mojito is made from 'rum' which contains alcohol, we-Moslem can't drink that.

Non Alcohol Mojito

To make this drink, you only need handful ingredients. The main ingredient itself is soda. But I assure you when you finish, you won't drink any regular soda. It's refreshing, fresh and tastes like summer. Here you go the recipe:

Friendly Mojito

Make about 4 glasses mojito

Ingredients:

  • 2 bottles of Lime soda like Big Cola or Sprite, each about 500 ml
  • 2 whole Limes, sliced
  • 1 can Canned lychee
  • 1/2 bundle Mint leaves
  • 4 cups ice cubes

How to make Non-alcohol Mojito:
1. Add about 3-4 lychees on each glasses. You can add the lychee's syrup if you want.

2. Add about 2-3 sliced lime (it's best to squeeze a bit the sliced lime before) and 5 mint leaves. Before you add the mint leaves, make sure to torn the leaves a bit to release the flavor.

 3. Add the ice cubes and pour enough soda. Serve.
